My Mission
I strive to build confidence in individuals through knowledge of movement mechanics and exercise physiology, so fitness gains can be achieved while at the gym AND in daily life.
About Me
Christina’s love for fitness started at a young age owing to her mother who always prioritized health and fitness with family and her grandmother with whom she shared a close bond. While seeing her grandmother’s body decline in strength and mobility with age, she knew health and fitness for older adults was her calling.
Born and raised in Vancouver, now living in Richmond, Christina has had the opportunity to make an impact on fitness programs in the lower mainland. During her former employment at UBC working for the School of Kinesiology, she, not only, developed and delivered tailored and group exercise programs to sedentary and aging population groups, she also collaborated with private and public organizations to facilitate the development of community-based rehabilitation, disease prevention, fall prevention and weight management programs.
Christina is a certified clinical exercise physiologist and a practicing member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists. She graduated from UBC with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology. With years of experience working with sedentary adults, mature athletes, aging and clinical populations with arthritis, cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic disease, she has helped novice and experienced clients reach strength and conditioning goals in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Her approach to fitness and wellness involves the establishment of outcome measures to help guide success, all while educating clients every step of the way throughout the transformation process.
In Christina’s spare time, she can be found on a volleyball court playing recreationally or coaching teams at both school and club levels. When she is not coaching, she is working on special projects volunteering with her family who believes in giving back to the community to reduce social isolation by building connections.
